One of the three major festivals in Hakone, the "Hakone Gora Onsen Daimoji-yaki" is beloved by many people as a summer tradition in Hakone. The majestic fiery characters blaze on the mountainside of Mt. Myojo, accompanied by beautiful fireworks dancing above, creating a truly fantastical scene.

Tenno Festival of Miyagino Suwa Shrine

The lion dance, dedicated at the Tenno Festival of Miyagino Suwa Shrine and transmitted from Koshu in the fifth year of An'ei (1776), is designated as an intangible cultural asset of Japan and Kanagawa Prefecture. It is said to bring good luck for health when the lion shakes the kumasasa soaked in boiling water and bathes in the hot water splashes.

Hakone Venetian Glass Museum
About a 15-minute drive from the hotel, this is Japan's first specialized art museum showcasing exquisite Venetian glassware. The beautiful hydrangeas in the garden are in full bloom.

Hydrangea train
The Hakone Tozan Railway operates 2 to 3 trains per hour during the evening hours. The trains run from Hakone-Yumoto Station to Gora Station, taking approximately 40 minutes (25 minutes to Miyanoshita Station). Passengers can enjoy a fantastical ride while viewing illuminated hydrangeas. Further details will be provided at a later date.
