The buffet table spread with breads and cereals was made to order by a workshop which the chef visited himself to select the materials and design. While retaining the natural form of Claro walnut wood, its appearance was adjusted with application of deep blue resin to alter the tone several times, under the eyes of the chef, in order to match the basic tone of the hotel and the atmosphere of the interior. This table therefore shines with the technique of artisans, and may be viewed as one of the pleasures of breakfast at the hotel in itself. Izu Wood Furniture Market, from which the table was ordered, offers not only various kinds of tables but also other wooden furniture and sundries. They can change the color of the resin to suit the preferences of the customer and produce items that match the theme, are unique, and will last a lifetime.
